Hekh hosted Smriti Rastogi's "This, here, now, Alive" under its lecture performance assembly 2025 on 28th February, 2025.

“Will the coming year solve the riddle of Mars?” This question resonates within us all, posed with an urgent and collective consciousness. When two worlds strive to communicate across vast distances, a new horizon emerges.

Through this performance, the entity seeks to engage with us on February 28th, 2025. As attentive listeners, we must also position ourselves as open receivers.
The interaction between this entity and the role of the cryptographers play a pivotal role in opening a portal to understanding the two distant worlds not to conquer, but as two domains of profound intimacy. The system of language has been buried for the Planet Mars even though the essence of their existence is rooted in a language system familiar to us all.

Smriti is an artist based in New Delhi, whose work evolves as a continuous exploration of plausible narratives through engaging with fictional characters that coexist with us in the real world. Her practice weaves visual storytelling, where the boundary between reality and imagination dissolves. She has recently completed her MA in Visual Arts from Ambedkar University, Delhi, and currently works as an art educator at the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art.
